Last April 29, our choir had the immense privilege of singing at the Thanksgiving Mass for Bishop Rene Ramirez, the first Filipino bishop in Australia—a truly historic and grace-filled occasion held at Our Lady of Dolours Parish in Chatswood, NSW.
The church was overflowing with joy, unity, and Filipino pride as communities from all around came together to welcome Bishop Rene with open hearts and prayerful spirit. As a choir, we were deeply moved to be part of this moment—lifting our voices in worship and thanksgiving for this milestone in our Church and for our kababayan.
Bishop Rene’s words of gratitude echoed the warmth of the evening:
“Your warm welcome and generous prayers during this evening’s Thanksgiving Mass mean so much to me... your presence made the celebration even more special!”

Maraming salamat, Bishop Rene, for your “yes” to God and for inspiring us all. May your ministry continue to flourish and bring light to many. ✨🙏
